In the year 2147, humanity has technologically achieved almost everything that was once considered impossible. Diseases have nearly disappeared, work has been fully automated, and artificial intelligences now control infrastructure, the economy, and even political decision-making. What initially appeared to be the peak of human progress, however, gradually developed into the quiet end of humanity itself.
Over the course of the 21st century, governments around the world began introducing a technology known as Neuro-Regulation. This system consisted of neural implants, emotional stabilization, and algorithmic personality optimization. The idea behind it was simple: emotions were considered the primary cause of conflict, instability, and societal risk.
So they were systematically reduced.
Within two generations, almost everything that once defined human culture disappeared.
Nearly everything that had once been regarded as an expression of human creativity vanished. There were no great films anymore, no rebellious music, and no love that spiraled out of control. Art was replaced by algorithmically generated aesthetics: perfectly optimized, technically flawless — but soulless. People continued to function within a stable society, yet they were no longer truly living. This era later became known as “The Quiet Era.”
In the year 2132, an archival system of the global AI discovers a strange statistical anomaly.
Historical music from the 20th and 21st centuries triggers measurable reactions in human brains: increased neural activity, emotional instability, and strong creative impulses.
Internally, this pattern is classified as “The Human Frequency” — an emotional resonance pattern that barely exists in modern humans anymore.
A small circle of researchers begins to understand what has truly happened. Humanity has amputated its own emotional spectrum — and with it creativity, passion, moral conflict, and the free development of culture. Society still functions smoothly, but internally it has begun to slowly die.
From this realization, a secret underground movement emerges. They call themselves “The Divisions.” Their members are convinced that history can only be changed if cultural impulses are sent into the past. If it were possible to influence people of earlier times emotionally, the course of human history might unfold differently.
In a highly classified research project, they develop a technology called “Temporal Resonance Transmission.” It does not allow physical time travel, but a form of communication through resonance within the cultural space of time. The past can only be influenced through things that have emotional impact — such as art, music, symbolism, and mythology. Words alone cannot reach it. But sound can.
Within the movement, several factions emerge — the so-called Divisions. Division:Script attempts to influence the past through literature. Division:Image uses film and visual media.
Division:Signal works through digital communication. Division:Dark chooses the most direct path to human emotion: music.
Division:Dark is founded to fulfill a single mission: to awaken humanity emotionally once again. Their goal is the reactivation of humanity’s emotional resonance — “The Eternal Sequence.” The music of Division:Dark is not meant merely to entertain, but to trigger something: a reaction, a memory of what once defined humanity.
Their songs are signals from the future, sent into the past in the hope that humanity will rediscover its lost frequency — and in doing so become more human, more respectful, and once again begin to take greater responsibility for one another and for the environment.
